Event: Denver Comic Con Guest Announcements #5

Ever since last year's Denver Comic Con ended we have been pumped for DCC 2014, and so many great guests have been revealed already and more incredible guests have been added to next years event. Three more guests have been added and we can't wait to see them as well as some additional amazing guests for Denver Comic Con 2014.  There have already been some amazing artists added to next years list and Denver Comic Con has announced some more amazing artists for next year.

Since the Holidays there have been some great guest that have been announced, and of course one of the most exciting parts is the actors.  Bruce Campbell was announced, and I can say that I cannot be more thrilled.  I have not been at a con yet where he has been a guest, and I cannot be more excited to meet the Horror King himself.   Bruce Campbell is most known for his role in Evil Dead, but he also has a lot of other work including voice acting, directing, and is also known for his work in television.  He has done voices in Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and Cars 2 and is also known for acting in several television series.  Power Rangers Fans, Jason David Frank is also a guest at this years event.  Even though I am not a huge Power Ranger fan, this man always has great things to say and I could listen to him talk all day in a panel.  He also has a great sense of humor and is very enjoyable to listen to.

There have been so many great comic book artists, creators, writers announced for next years event, and after last years event I didn't think I could be more pleased with the artists, writers, and creators that they had until they started announcing the guests for this year.  A few people that I am absolutely ecstatic to see back are Dan Parent, George Perez, and Neal Adams.  Most people know who Dan Parent is, but he is mostly known for his work on Archie.  Not only was Dan's work with Archie phenomenal, but he also is such a huge idol to me because he brought so many great things into the comic book World such as interracial and same sex relationships at a time where it was not accepted into society.  Last year I was lucky enough to spend some time with Dan and I can't wait to see him again next year.  I also super stoked to see George Perez again, not only is the man talented but he is so enjoyable to be around and is such an upstanding guy.  His work includes but is not limited to: Crisis on Infinite Earths, Justice League of America, The Avengers, The Avengers Vs. Justice League of America and The New Teen Titans, War of the Gods, and Infinity Gauntlet. Any time I have the chance to pick up his work I do.  Stephen Leiber is also attending this years con and he is someone that I have not had the opportunity to meet and would absolutely love to.  He is most known for his work with the characters:  Batman, Superman, Hellboy and illustrated Max Allen Collins’ On the Road to Perdition.  Recently he did two graphic novels for Dark Horse Comics, and is also doing work for Marvel on the new Superior Foes for Spider-Man.  Last year we had the chance to catch up with Neal Adams at Mile High Comics Pre Denver Comic Con party, and also at Denver Comic Con.  He is such a great guy, and had so many great things to say last year and I can't wait to have some more conversations with him this year.  He really elaborated on his plans for his future last year, and I can't wait to see how that has changed for this year.  Neal Adams is one of my biggest idols and I can't wait to see him again.  Another person that is returning (who is usually a guest every year) is J Scott Campbell.  I also had the chance to speak with him last year for about 30 minutes and he is also a huge idol of mine and could not have been more excited.  J Scott Campbell is mostly known for his work with Danger Girl, but has also done a lot of work with Marvel, DC, and many more.  He also did the Denver Comic Con poster for last year, and I am hoping he does the one for this year also.  If you are a My Little Pony fan, or you have kids that are Andy Price is going to be a guest at Denver Comic Con this year.  The artists, writers and creators are absolutely unreal at Denver Comic Con and I can't wait for more announcements, and especially pumped for Artist Alley this year at Denver Comic Con.

Yesterday Denver Comic Con also announced some more guests and I almost fell out of my chair with excitement when they announced the next few guests.  The first guest that was announced was Jeremy Bulloch.  I absolutely loved his role as Boba Fett, and I am sure all the Star Wars fans out there are just as pumped as I am.  He is also known for his work in James Bond and also in some Doctor Who stories.  I think any fan could appreciate his talent and the work he has done over the years. The next guest that was announced is Chandler Riggs.  That's right Carl from The Walking Dead will a guest at Denver Comic Con this year for the second time.  Last year Chandler Riggs did not attend, but he was at Denver Comic Con in the first year.  I am hoping with Chandler Riggs and Michael Rooker as guests that we will also see some more Walking Dead cast at this years event.  Regardless I cannot be more excited that he is attending and can't wait for the opportunity to meet him and also Michael Rooker.

Denver Comic Con not only holds one of the best cons in the nation, but there are also some great benefits
when you attend.  The main benefit in going to Denver Comic Con is the proceeds go to Comic Book Classroom, a literacy program for kids.  Not only will you be attending one of the best cons in the nation, but you will also be contributing to what matters the most, our kids and future kids.  Comic Book Classroom has excellent panels and activities throughout the con, and we felt like all 4 of our tickets were easily paid for in the activities the kids participated in.  If you have kids, not only will they have a great time seeing some of their favorite celebrities, but they also get the enjoyment of participating in so many kids activities.  There are even several panels for the kiddos on how to make their own comics, and they also will get the fun joy in making comics of their own.  Even if you don't have kids, you have the excitement of attending one of the best cons in the nation and also getting the joy of contributing to little ones while you are doing it.  Comic Book Classroom arranges excellent after school programs at various schools across the state to help kids learn how to read, write, and write their own comics.  For more information on Comic Book Classroom please be sure to visit their website and Facebook page.  They also have excellent pamphlets you can print from DCC's website.  Please come and join us for all the excitement at Denver Comic Con next year and contribute to children just by attending.  Stay tuned for more guest announcements this year, and please make sure you subscribe to Denver Comic Con's newsletter.

Don't forget to get your tickets fast for next year.  They are going quick and the sooner you get them the better.  Also, don't forget to sign up for Denver Comic Con's newsletter so you can get all the updates and guest announcements right away.  I hope to see you at this years event and stay tuned for more guest announcements.
