Geeking 4 Everyone's Top Picks of the Week (9-25-13)

There are so many great new titles that come out every week that it makes it so tough to choose.  But each week we will be choosing 10 titles that are our top picks, and we will also be giving a short description of the comic.  Our intent is not to reveal anything but a summary of what the book may be about, but if you don't want to know anything then don't read any further.  Our weekly reviews will be more designed to actually discuss the book with more spoilers, the purpose in these weekly blogs is to recommend books to our fans, and let you know what is on our list for the week (which we will also release every Wednesday).  We love to hear all input from our fans so please don't hesitate to let us know how you like any of the books recommended, or if you have any questions.  The picks are always done alphabetically so these picks are not numbered from first choice to last choice only the top 10 that we choose to purchase for the week.  We also like to pick one children's book so parents out there know what to get for their child. There are so many exciting things going on this month for comics.  DC Comics is doing a Villains month for the whole month of September, there will be special villains issues that we are excited for.  The issues will also have variant covers that will be available in 3D.  Pull your comics fast, and please keep in mind your comic book retailer cannot control how many they get of this issue so please be patient and remember there are no guarantees.  Next month there will also be some exciting Halloween issues being released starting next week, so starting next week we will be discussing those.  Here's our top ten for the week:

Batman #23.4 Bane:  We are finishing off our Villains month Batman collection with this book.  We have always enjoyed books with Bane, so we are especially excited for this weeks Batman.  In this issue, Batman is now gone and all of the prisoners from Arkam Asylum are running around like crazy, and who knows what damage they will cause.  If that isn't enough havoc for Gotham, Bane is on a warpath and he is ready to destroy anyone who gets in his way.  What damage will the prisoners cause?  And even worse, what damage will Bane cause on Gotham?  Will anyone be able to get the prisoners under control and be able to take down Bane?

Batman Superman #3.1 Doomsday:  We have picked up every book so far in this series so we want to continue on with this series.  The first book in this series was a little slow (as many are), but we feel like the excitement is starting to pick up. This issue takes place before Superman fought Doomsday, and we see a lot more detail about Doomsday.  This was when Doomsday caused turmoil on Superman's World, Krypton.  Will Superman be able to stop Doomsday?  What new exciting details will we find out about Doomsday?  Will anyone come in to help Superman before its too late?

Batman The Dark Knight #23.4 Joker's Daughter:   We always love picking up a new Dark Knight when there is one available, and have picked up one so far every week for Villains month.  Joker fans, this would definitely be a good book for you to pick up for a new kind of crazy.  Now that Arkam Asylum has been completely destroyed, The Joker's daughter has a whole new herd of crazy followers in the new dark Gotham.  Will anyone be able to save Gotham or is it destined for darkness forever?  What damage will The Joker's Daughter cause with all of her new followers from Arkam Asylum?

Gambit #17:  It has been a while since we have read any Gambit so we wanted to pick up this weeks book.  This series is finally reaching the intense conclusion and Gambit must choose between his two seperate identities.  The only problem is he must choose fast because he is right in the middle of a Villain riot.  Hopefully no one is already chasing after Gambit because it sounds like he has his hands full. What will Gambit choose, being a Hero or a theif?  What consequences could he suffer based on what he chooses?  Will Gambit be able to survive the Villain riot?

Justice League #23.4 Secret Society:  We are continuing our Villain's week collection by picking up another issue of Justice League.  So far, we have not missed an issue yet and we have been enjoying this collection.  There have been several new Villains across the new 52, and we find out why they are there and what their purpose and targets are.  What damage will the new Villains cause across The new 52?  Will anyone be able to stop the new Villain's from causing damage?

Kids Choice: Peanuts Vol. 2 #12:  This series is great for kids, it is a great read and it also teaches them a few things.  Who didn't love Peanuts as a child, or even as an adult?  Not only, is this a great book for your kids to read but it is also educational.  In this issue, Peppermint Patty teaches Sally Brown how to be a good student.  If your child struggles in school, or doesn't like school then this is the perfect book.  Your child will be engaged with this book, as well as learn about school and how to be a good student.  Sometimes having a child listen to a character they love is the best way for them to learn.  For more gender related books, we would suggest the My Little Pony being released this week for girls, and for boys there is a new Transformers coming out this week.

Mind MGMT #15:  We have always enjoyed the Mind MGMT series and also Matt Kindt's work.  In this weeks issue we find out what happened to Henry Lyme between the first and second stories.  We also find out why he is building a team and what danger he could possibly get into next.  There is someone after Henry and we find out who that is in this book.  Who is after Henry?  What will we find out about between the first and second stories?

Star Wars Legacy:  Who doesn't love Star Wars?  We like this series because we are looking forward to what the future of the Star Wars Legacy holds.  In this weeks issue after having a vision of Empress Fel falling from a sith, Ania Solo and Knight Jaio ignore the orders they were given and head out to look for the Sith that goes after Empress Fel.  Can they find the Sith before its too late?  What problems will arise with them ignoring orders on their other adventure?

Uncanny Avengers #12:  We have always loved this series, and this week even though DC are the ones having Villains week this is an excellent Marvel Villains issue.  If you love the Marvel Villains and possibly even some new Villains then you will love this issue.  Marvel has hinted there will be several bad guys in this issue.  There is also a secret pact between Ahab and Red Skull and we find out what kind of havok this can cause for the Mutants.  Kang's motives are also revealed in this issue, and we see the Apocolypse twins.  What will happen in this issue and how will the Avengers handle all this Choas?  What will we find out about Kang's true motives, and the pact between Red Skull and Ahab?

Wolverine and The X-Men #36:  We have been enjoying this series and we try to get a new book every week when it is released.  We both have always been huge X-Men and Wolverine fans.  Marvel didn't give away a whole ton of info this week, but it is Battle of The Atom Part 4.  Marvel said any more information and there would be too many spoilers so we will all have to read and find out.  We will find out the Fate and future of the new X-men in this book.  What do you think is in the future for The X-Men?  What do you think will happen in Battle of the Atom Part 4?

Excitement for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D......Coulson Lives!!!!!!

For months now we have all been excited for Joss Whedon's newest Marvel TV series on ABC, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.  And tonight we will see the debut that we have all been waiting for.  As a Joss Whedon fan and an Avengers fan, we can honestly say that we cannot wait for this new series to start.  For those of you that did not see Iron Man 2 or don't know what S.H.I.E.L.D. means it stands for Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division. As usual, Marvel didn't give a whole ton of information other than what us viewers saw on various previews over the last several months.  All we know about this show so far is what has been released in the previews up until this point, we are excited to see where Whedon is taking this show and what he has in store for us. The previews for the show look to be packed with action as well as an excellent storyline, and we have a feeling there will be many more secrets to come (other than Agent Phil Coulson being alive).  Every week we will release blogs within a few days of the show.  So you can expect many more blogs and also some podcasts down the road.

When this show was first announced,  we were all shocked by the fact that Agent Phil Coulson is still alive. That's right, the Agent Coulson that appeared to die in The Avengers is back and he appears to be more determined than ever.  We learned in the previews, that most people don't know that Agent Coulson is alive.  Unless someone is an agent with Level 7 clearance they still think Agent Coulson is dead.  Also, remember when Loki got something from Coulson in The Avengers and Coulson was talking about Level 7 Clearance?  Yeah that's a detail you may not remember, but our prediction is that this whole show has been planned since the Avengers was made. If Agent Coulson being alive isn't exciting enough for you, then there is much more to the story line.  There are several characters that you can expect to see right away, and who knows we may see a lot more characters down the road. There are also some other familiar agent faces that you can look forward to: Skye, Melinda May, Grant Ward, Leo Fitz, Jenna Simmons, and of course Agent Phil Coulson.   Hopefully, we can expect to see some additional Avengers characters that we all love.  And also some new superheros and some new characters.  The characters that have been released up to this point are only up until the first three episodes, so you can expect many more to come.  Here is the best trailer that has been released up until this point:

Let us know what you think of tonights show, but we have a feeling that this show is going to be a new geek favorite.  Don't forget to catch our other blogs and other geeky related things at blogspot and Facebook. Also don't forget to catch our reviews on the show every week after it is aired.

Batman The Dark Knight 23.3 Clayface:  Of course we are continuing on with our Villain's week Batman collection and picking up another Dark Knight book.  It has been a while since we have read one with Clayface in it so we are excited for this weeks book and curious to see what Clayface is going to do in this book.  In this weeks book, Clayface tried to impress The Secret Society.  Clayface makes a plan this time to reek more havok than ever.  Will Clayface succeed or will his plan backfire?  Will anyone be able to stop Clayface before its too late?

Detective Comics #23.3 Scarecrow:  Another book that we are excited to add to our Villains Month collection.  We thoroughly enjoyed the Detective Comics book from last week and we are excited for the plot and excitement in this weeks book. In this book, Scarecrow unleases on Gotham like and we also may see some other villains in this issue.  What havoc will Scarecrow unleash on Gotham?  What other Villains will we see in this issue?

Doctor Who Volume 3 #13:  We love Doctor Who, is there anyone that doesn't?  Just about every weekwhen there is a Doctor Who book we try and pick it up.  In this weeks book, The Doctor and Clara run into Calamity Jane and Oscar Wilde as they visit the town of Deadwood to attend Wild Bills grave from his recent passing.  But, when they get to Deadwood they discover that the grave is empty and that the town is being taken over by a maked man that shoots out of only his finger.  Who could this masked man be?  Will Clara and The Doctor be able to save Deadwood and figure out what happened to Wild Bills body?  Also, there is a Doctor Who Classics being released this week for all you Doctor Who geeks.

Infinity #3 (of 6):  This has been another book that we have been enjoying lately, and there is a great deal with this weeks book that we have for you.  This week, Mile High Comics is giving away this issue with online orders.  For a $30 order you can get this one for free, and for a $50 order you can get the variant cover of this book for free.  And let's not forget the awesome codeword sale at 50% off.  All three of these deals are ones that you will not want to miss.  Remember these books will go fast so order quick, for more information check Mile High Comics Website under the newsletter section.   In this weeks book, there is a Prison Break and you can expect lots of action.  What else will happen in this weeks book?

Kids Pick of the Week: Adventure Time #  Adventure Time is a great series for kids, and even the adults love it too!!!  Not only do your kids learn by reading an educational book, but the book also has hands on learning to make your child interested in the topic. In this weeks book, Jake and Finn finish the adventure in the Ice King's Dungeon.  What excitment will be on their final Dungeon adventure?  For the older kids, please check out Bravest warrior this is a good series for the older ones.  .

New Avengers #10:   The new Avengers is also something that we have been getting into.  This series haskept our attention well and kept our excitement for the next book.  In this weeks book there are some brutal and inhumane secrets arise with the ambition of Thanos.  And if that's not enough excitement for you the battle of the Earth also continues.  What discoveries will we find out with Thanos and how much damage will be caused?  Who will win the Battle of the Earth?

Superior Spiderman #18:  We have been getting into this series lately and every week there has been a book released we pick it up.  In this weeks book, Superior Spiderman and Spiderman 2099 have an ultimate battle.  Peter Parker is more frazzled than normal with the labs being shut down and the possibility of losing years of precious inventions.  Who will win this battle?  What other exciting things will we discover about Superior Spiderman this week?  What will happen with all the labs being shut down, and will it get fixed?  What important things will be lost in the lab?

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles The Animated Adventures #3:  We were not always completely crazy over the new design of the Ninja turtles from growing up in the 80's.  But ever since the first issue of this series was released at SDCC we decided to give it a chance.  We have been enjoying it so far, so we are going to continue with our collection and pick up this weeks book.  We all love zombies, and what better way than to have TMNT with zombies?  In this weeks books Mikey gets a little too freaked out by watching too many zombie movies.  Then the people of New York start to act a bit like zombies and a little mindless, and Mikey has to face his fears to save the day.  Will the brother believe Mikey or will he have to fight the zombies all on his own?  Will Mikey and or the brothers be able to save the day?  Sounds like a situation of the Mikey who cried Zombies.

Uncanny X-Men #12:  This has been a series that we have been enjoying and try to pick one up every week.  We have been extremely hooked with this series and have been pleased with the action, art, and storyline in this series.  We don't want to give away too much information without spoiling the previous books, but with many exciting crossovers from the last book we are excited to see what crossovers they have in store for us this week. What crossovers will we see next?  What will happen in this next battle?

Zero #1:  Edward Zero is a spy who bends the rules to save the world.  He solves one thing at a time in a very quick and efficient manner.  Starting out the series this week Zero finds complications with an unknown device and he must figure out how to get it back, but the only problem is this device is inside of a terrorist.  Will Zero be able to recover the device before its too late?  What other exciting details will we find out about Zero?

Geeking 4 Everyone's Top Ten Picks of the week (9-11-13)

Other, than that here's our top ten for the week:

Avengers #19:  The infinity series continues and you can expect tons of action this week.  We have really been enjoying this avengers series, and feel like we have been excited from one issue to the next. Another war with the builders continues, and we see more exciting action as we have been seeing to this point.  Will the Avengers be able to resolve the conflicts in space?  What other issue will arise in the galaxy and who else will we see in this issue?

Batman The Dark Knight 23.2 Mr. Freeze:  The Dark Knight series has always been one of ourfavorites and this weeks issue is part of Villains week.  We also picked up the Batman Dark Knight 23.1 last week so we are excited to see where this weeks issue will go.  We all know the damage that Mr. Freeze is capable of and I think this weeks issue will be especially packed with action.  In this weeks book, Mr Freeze is causes the ultimate turmoil when he decides to target a certain family just to get to Batman.  Will Batman be able to stop him before its too late?  What damage will Mr Freeze cause?  What does Mr. Freeze have planned for Batman in this weeks issue?

Batman 23.2 The Riddler:  With The Dark Knight out of the picture The Riddler is more powerful than ever, and you can expect many secrets to unfold in this weeks issue.  The riddler starts planning his usual games with The Dark Knight out of the picture and we will see what he is planning next.  We will also see how Zero Year plays into the riddler and how it affects him.  Will anyone be able to stop the Riddler?  What does The Riddler have planned next?  This is suppose to be one of the most anticipated books, for DC's Villains month.

Deadpool #16:  We have always loved all Deadpool, and we try to pick up an issue when we can.  Deadpool has always been one of our favorites and always one that we love to add to our collection. This is part 2 of 3 of this series and we picked up the first one and we will also pick up the next one.  Anytime we see a short series that we like we always  Deadpool meets up with some friends this week and Captain America and Wolverine get stuck in Deadpool's past.  What will issues will Captain America and Wolverine have with Deadpool's past?  What other problems will occur in this issue?  What secrets could we possibly find out pertaining to Deadpools past leading into the future?

Flash 23.2 Reverse Flash:  It has been forever since we have read any Flash, and what better week than Villains week? In this weeks book we find out about the discovery of Reverse Flash and who he is. What discoveries will we find out about Reverse Flash?  What is his relationship with Barry Allen?  What action will we see and discover in this book?

Green Lantern 23.2 Mongul:  Last week we picked up Green Lantern 23.1 and since we are trying to get all the titles for Villains week we will be picking this up as well.  I don't want to give too many details of last week's book since we don't like to announce spoilers, but in this weeks book the ultimate enemy, Mogul comits genocide across the whole galaxy and only the strongest warriors will be able to survive.  Who will survive the genocide across the galaxy?  Will the Lanterns be able to stop Mongul before he has caused too much damage?

Indestructible Hulk #16:  It has been a while since we have picked up a book in this series.  We have seen The Hulk take on just about everything in this series, from Dinosaurs to the most evil villains known to man. In this weeks book, Bruce Banner is running out of time and The Black Knight makes an appearance.  What excitement will we see when the Black Knight makes his appearance?

Justice League Dark #23.2 Eclipso:  We also picked up the Justice League Dark 23.1 and so this week we decided to carry on our Villains week collection by picking up another Justice League Dark.  We all know that the Black Diamond has been reeking havoc in the new 52, but we will find The Black Diamond causing even more trouble in this new book.  The Black Diamond finds a new host that is a perfect fit and we see Eclipso be unleashed as one of the deadliest enemies that The Justice League sees yet.  What damage will Eclipso cause?  Will anyone be able to stop Black Diamond and Eclipso?

Kids Choice: Adventure Time: Candy Capers #3:  Adventure Time is a great series for your little ones.  If reading comics, are not educational enough then Adventure time will also teach them many educational lessons along the way.  This mini series is great if you or your kids love Nancy Drew or the Hardy Boys.  In this weeks book someone will need to take Jake and Finn's place, who will it be?  What exciting adventures will there be in this weeks book?  This book is also a great pick for your kids for Halloween this year.

Star Wars #9:  We always love picking up new Star Wars to read.  Most of the time we are not disappointed with any Star Wars comic so we try and pick one up when we can.  In this issue, Princess Leia is all alone in the galaxy when her Jedi friends are trying to escpape from being trapped in the Empire and they must fight the Bounty Hunters to get out.  When the Princess is flying her X-Wing through the galaxy she discovers the ruins of Alderaan.  This is the moment that Star Wars fans have been waiting for.  What discoveries will Princess Leia find?

The Walking Dead #114:  We are very excited about this weeks issue of The Walking Dead, it has been one of our favorite series.  It has been a while since one has been released so we are excited for this new one we feel like the wait has almost been as hard as it is for the show. We are just as excited for this issue and issues following as we are for the show to start in October. Images did not give a lot of details this week, but "What would Jesus do?", to us that doesn't sound good for Rick and the group. In this weeks issue, after Andrea's supposed passing Negan has Rick and the group exactly where he wants them and he is even more enraged than he was before.  Will Rick and the group be able to defend themselves against Negan and the Crew?  What does Negan have planned for Rick and the rest of the group?  Walking Dead fans, Don't miss our Denver Comic Con blog being released close to October for spoilers and behind the scenes info that you will love.  There will be plenty of excitement to read and find out about the show and the comics getting released.

Apple News: The 5s and 5c iPhones

Last week, Apple fans found out the newest members of Apple's family, the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c.  The difference between the 5s and the 5c is a difference in preference, and depending on what preferences you have depends on the phone you should get. We have also included the videos directly from Apple's website so you can watch and see the new phones and their features.

The 5S will have the most technology out of any iPhone made yet. It will have an A7 64bit processor (which if you don't know, is extremely fast).  The new A7 chip will help assist the phone with several new features. The camera in this phone will work with the operating system and will take four photos then merge those photos together in one photo for the ultimate precision.  This is designed to take out any blurriness from movements, or any bad lighting.  There will be a fingerprint security scanner on the home button of your phone.  This means no more passwords, all you have to do is let the phone scan your thumbprint and you will have access to your phone and also be able to use it in the store instead of entering your apple id.  The phone will also have something called an M7 chip which is the graphics card that will be working with the A7 on the 5s.  If you don't know already this is about the equivalent that comes in an XBOX 360 so gamers will love this model.  We have included the video below to give you more visual detail with the 5s.  With a new contract or upgrade it costs $199 for the 16GB, $299 for the 32G and $399 for the 64 MB.  Without a contract its $650 for the 16G, $750 for the 32G, and $850 for the 64GB.

The 5C is more for the person that doesn't need a lot of extra features and it is cheaper in price than the 5S.  So, if you are one of those people that has been waiting for a more inexpensive iPhone then this would be the one to get.  Its basic, but don't let the fact that it doesn't have as many features of the 5S fool you.  This phone will still be very camparible to the Iphone 5, so the technology will still be there.  This phone runs on an A6 just as the Iphone 5 does.  It has a polycarbonite casing that will give your phone the ultimate protection vs the metal/glass casing that comes with the standard iPhone, even more the reason that it is perfect for a teenager or college student who may not take as good of care for their phone.  The 5C will come in multiple colors: Yellow, White, Blue, Green, and pink.  The phones will also have new rubber cases so that you can interchange multiple colors, the cases will not come with the phone they are sold seperately.  Below is a video that is from the Apple website to give you more visual detail on the 5c. The price on the 5C starts at $199 for a 16MB and  $299 for a 16GB with a contract and $399 for the 64 MB.  It is my understanding that Apple may reduce the prices on the 5C, and make sure to check your local phone companies because pricing may vary.

Now that you have the info on both features its time to decide which phone will suit you the best. For me I am choosing the 5S because I want the faster processor and the better camera to be able to deliver our fans better coverage at conventions and events.   Now, if all you want is a basic phone, and the camera abilities on the 5 are ok for you then I would say to go with the 5C.  If you are looking for a more inexpensive phone with basic features the 5C is the way to go.  To me, the 5C would be perfect for the teenager or college student that doesn't need something extremely fancy.  It really comes down to preference and what you need to use your phone for.  Not impressed with either phone?  That's ok don't forget the iphone 6 is on its way in the near future. Let us know what phone you will be buying in the future, we are curious what our fans think about all the new phones coming out even if you are not purchasing an iPhone.

Geeking 4 Everyone's Top Ten Picks of the week (9-4-13)

We always choose writers and artists that we believe are extremely talented so no need to state the obvious on that one.  Although, now and again we may give a mention to one of our favorites.  We also like to pick one kids book for the parents out there looking for good books for their little ones.  Also, remember the covers we show are only the standard cover, check your retailer for alternate covers.  We will also release our top collector's item for the week.  For the month of September DC is doing Villains month, and so this month should be especially packed with all your favorite Villains.  Some of these titles even come in 3-D.  With the high demand this month on all the DC Villain titles, be sure to pull your comics quickly and order quick before they are gone.  This month we will be letting you know what some of our favorite Villain issues that are coming out that we want to purchase.  We will leave a link at the end of this blog.  Here's our top ten for the week:

Batman Black and White #1:  If you never read this book when it was released in 1996 you should start now.  This book was awesome back then we are sure the first book to this new mini series will be something you don't want to miss.  We are especially excited for this new mini series and can't wait to see what stories are going to be included in this series.  The original Black and White #1 won an Eisner trophy, and of course this mini series will include stories from some of the most talented artists and writers in the comic book industry.  Even better, if you place an order at Mile High Comics this week for $50 or higher than you can get this issue for free.  I know this is one deal that I will not be missing out on.  Make sure to place your order quick before these are all gone.  The deal is gone once the issues are so if you don't act fast you may not get it.  What stories will be included in this new Miniseries?  What predictions do you have for this series?

Batman 23.1 Joker:  This is an issue that we would love to pick up in celebration of Villains month that DC Comics is doing for the month.  This is a series that I have always enjoyed that I have not had the chance to pick up in a while.  We always know how evil the Joker is, but in this issue we find out what originally send The Joker on his path of turmoil.  I have a feeling this book may have some extra details that we may not know about the Joker yet that will be especially exciting.  We can't wait to see what unfolds in this book and what else The Joker has in store.

Danger Girl: The Chase #1:  Even though the legend behind this series J. Scott Campbell is not drawing anymore for this series we still want to give this series a chance.   We have always loved Danger girl and have not checked out any books since J. Scott Campbell stopped doing the Danger Girl series.  In this book the girls have a ticking bomb on their hands.  They travel to different countries cities, and many other exciting destinations.  We are excited to see all the places that the girls go on in order to stop this ticking time bomb. Can the girls safely get the ticking time bomb under control before its too late and causes too much destruction?

Garfield #17 (Kids pick of the week):  We always loved Garfield as kids, and we think any child can appreciate Garfield.  The show has always been relatively educational and same with the comic. Only the comic is much more packed with action to keep your child's attention.  In this issue, Garfield takes on the Lasagna Monstors.  In next weeks issue its the battle of the evil Calzone.  One thing that's great about Garfield is it may get your child's interest in foods they don't like.

Green Lantern #23.1 Relic:  This is another issue part of DC's Villain month, and it has been a while since we have read any Green Lantern so we decided to get this weeks issue.  This book is also available in 3D, but those go fast so order quick.  In this issue, Relic is back and we discover more about him and what his intentions are.  Relic could be the most powerful and intense force that the Lantern's have ever seen from anything.  What damage will Relic cause and why?  What details will we find out in this week's issue?

Infinity #2:  We have enjoyed this series and every week there is a release for this series we pick it up.  Unfortunately this week Marvel didn't give a lot of clues as to where this book would be leading us.  But, we do know that the in humans pay their tribute and there is victory in deep space.  What excitement will this weeks book bring?  What battles will be fought in this weeks issue?  What new characters will possibly be introduced?

Justice League Dark #23.1 Creeper:  The Creeper escapes from being in his captivity and as he breaks out he causes more turmoil and destruction than anyone could have imagined.  Katana and Jack Ryder also join The Justice League this week.  Will The Justice League be able to stop The Creeper?  What will The Creeper destroy on his path of destruction?  We are especially excited to pick up this issue for Villains month.

Spawn #235:  We have always enjoyed the Spawn series, and just about every week that one comes out we pick it up.  In this weeks issue, the battle between Jim and the K7 Leetha continues.  New truths and details are unraveled in this weeks issue when K7 Leetha tries to control Jim's mind, but all it does is make him remember things.  A new friend also comes into this book and tells an old story about a Vampire.  What secrets will be discovered in this weeks issue?  What excitement will this Vampire story bring to this book?

Superman #23.1:  This is another book we are excited to get for villains month.  In this issue, Lex Luthor has a plan for Superman, and that's to engineer him genetically and make him a mindless soldier under his control.  This soldier is named Bizarro and I am sure we can imagine that this new version of Superman is nothing but pure evil.  What destruction will Bizarro cause?  How long will Lex cause turmoil until someone can stop him?

The Star Wars #1:   This series is George Lucas' adaptation of Star Wars before it was really Star Wars.  This series is the rough draft of the writing of Star Wars by George Lucas that would eventually change movie industry and grow into the films that we all love so much. We are sure there will be many secrets revealed in this new series.  We all know that in movies there are many things they cut out so it will be interesting to see what details get revealed in this new series.  In this weeks issue we discover that Annakin Starkiller is the hero, Luke is a wiser Jedi General, and Han Solo is a big, green alien.  And as always, the Sith is there to cause havok and turmoil with the Jedi's.  What secrets will be revealed in this new series?  What trouble will the Sith's cause on the Jedi's?

These are our top 10 picks for the week let us know if you have any questions, and please feel free to comment with any input.  We love having conversations and answering any questions that fans may have.  Also, sometimes buying everything in one week can be overwhelming, but if you shop at Mile High Comics like we do you will save a ton of money.  And, you may also get something for free as a bonus as we have gotten from several online orders.  Next, month DC is doing Villain month and so Septembers issues will be especially packed with all of our favorite Villains.  You can also go to DC's website and enter a chance to win every issue for Villian month. We are especially excited for next months issues. Until next weeks new releases.....
